Porridge is a very healthy meal that requires very little preparation, which makes it a perfect breakfast choice. Also, oats are proven to keep you full for longer, exactly what you need for a day in the outdoors. And with the addition of coconut, cacao, dates, and almonds, you will see that this recipe tastes more like a dessert than porridge!
Mix all the ingredients together in a plastic bag and seal it. Ideally, the night before, add water and let soak overnight. The next morning, simply add milk or some more water and heat up the mix! If you have a sweet tooth, just add a sprinkle of sugar or even better, either maple syrup or honey.

Simply take your favorite milk hot chocolate recipe and add one serving of instant coffee, 1 teaspoon powdered milk, and 1 teaspoon vanilla instant pudding per serving. To finish, just add water and mix well. For a little treat, top off this warm drink with whipped cream, mini marshmallows, or chocolate chips.
Soups are a very versatile meal that can be prepared without the need for recipes. It’s more about being creative and using what’s at hand. For camping, one option is to bring canned vegetables or, if you don’t want to carry a lot of weight, you can always bring instant soup mixes and complement them with vegetables that you can find in local shops during your trip.
